Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora players can enjoy a new free mode

Just a few months after it was first released, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has recently received a free but much-needed update for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 users.

Released back in December, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an action-adventure title which, as you can probably guess, was inspired by the James Cameron movie series. The blue guys, not the animated ones.

Despite some trepidation over the Massive Entertainment title, we enjoyed it here at GAMINGbible and deemed it “more than just a Far Cry blueskin”.

In our review, we wrote: “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a surprise cherry on top of what has been a fantastic year for video games and I encourage fans of the Avatar movies to put this unexpected charming delight on your ever-expanding wishlist.”

Now four months on from release, Ubisoft is rolling out Update 3.2 to all players which won’t only add a 40fps mode to the game but will also include some standard quality-of-life improvements.

Rolled out to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC users, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s recent update will add another option to the current Quality and Performance mods for the game.

With recent games usually switching between 30fps and 60fps, 40fps is quite rare but it will allow players to access better performance without needing to run the game on ultra settings. Either way, it will aim to increase frame rates which is never a bad thing.

As well as the 40fps mode, the new 3.2 update will also add a Fast Travel option to Research Station Alpha, improvements to controller re-mapping, various crash fixes and more.

In other Ubisoft news, Assassin’s Creed Hexe is set to bring back one of the series’ most underrated features. It seems the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise is bright.
