Palworld major free download available now, rolls out much-needed changes

The latest Palworld patch update has arrived and is available to download on Steam now, with the Xbox version due out soon.

It’s been a while since PocketPair dropped a new player total for surprise hit Palworld, which may be a sign that growth is beginning to slow and numbers are starting to stabilise. That being said, Palworld still boasts an absolutely enormous player base with high expectations of the game.

Already, we know that over 19 million players have joined in the fun across Xbox and Steam, with the game earning the title of the biggest third-party launch ever on Xbox Game Pass. The game has proved to be so popular that some players had to wait over 40 minutes to enter via Game Pass’ cloud gaming. PocketPair has now officially partnered with Xbox, bringing extra developers on board to help support the game’s servers and assist with updates, which should massively boost the experience for Xbox players as it’s no secret that the Xbox version is lagging behind, as evidenced by today’s latest patch.

Take a look at Palworld in action below.

The latest Palworld patch is here but once again, while it’s already been released on Steam, Xbox version v0.1.1.4 “will be released as soon as it is ready”. The Steam version is identified as v0.1.4.1. In terms of major fixes, this update rectifies an issue where the game would crash and save data would be corrupted when the number of Pals captured by the guild reached 7000. This also applies to save data that was already in this state following the previous patch. That should now load properly too.

An issue has been fixed where weapons equipped by other players would disappear while using a grenade in multiplayer, and a bug that prevented capture probability from increasing was stamped out. Moving onto base related fixes, a problem has been sorted that saw Pals manually assigned to a breeding farm go to sleep forever, and one where no wood would drop if a Pal felled a tree.

Devs further added that a number of extra measures had been made to ward off cheats and exploits adding that they continue to work on the game and thank players for their support.
