Xbox offering over £500 worth of freebies, but you don't have forever

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month or so, you may have heard of a little Pokémon-inspired multiplayer game called Palworld.

Developed by indie studio Pocket Pair, Palworld was released on PC and Xbox as an early access title on 19 January 2024. It’s a multiplayer survival game perhaps similar to the likes of Ark: Survival Evolved and Capcom’s Monster Hunter series but with Pokémon-inspired creatures.

To say that developers Pocket Pair has captured lightning in a bottle would be an understatement. Since Palworld was launched in January it has garnered over 25 million players on PC and Xbox with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Whether Palworld can keep players engaged throughout the year and beyond, remains to be seen. That said, with Palworld being an early access title, Pocket Pair will be looking to improve its game and recently Palworld received an update which added features that have been requested since launch.

In our review of Palworld, we said: “It’s astonishing how much has been packed into Palworld given its Early Access status. Sure, the developers will probably expand the world, add in more Pals, and grow the story, too. But what we have here is already great, and features so many small details you’ll be amazed at what you discover.”

If you are a Palworld fan who cannot get enough of its goodness, then this awesome competition which could bag you over £500 worth of freebies is worth your attention. However, you don’t have forever to act so you better move in fast. The competition in question is to win a custom Palworld Xbox Series S, four custom controllers and a three-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code.

To be in with a chance of winning this competition, all you have to do is follow Xbox on Twitter and retweet the competition tweet using the hashtag #PalworldXboxSweepstakes. The competition ends on 17 March 2024. Unfortunately, judging by the sweepstakes terms and conditions, this particular competition is open to the residents of the United States only. So if you live in the US and you enter this competition, good luck.

Palworld is out now on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. It’s also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
