A Game Of Thrones RPG is apparently in the works, and could potentially give The Elder Scrolls a run for its money.
While Game Of Thrones aired its final, frankly disappointing episode back in 2019, the franchise lives on through the prequel spin-off House Of The Dragon.

However despite its popularity the series has seen a distinct lack of video game adaptations, at least good ones anyway.

There’s been the occasional mobile game and Telltale tried its hand at adapting the world while giving players control over their own story, but there hasn’t been a full-on AAA Game Of Thrones game, yet.
Now it seems like one is finally on the way, and it looks like it’ll be taking inspiration from Bethesda and its Elder Scrolls series.
Coincidentally the next game in Bethesda’s schedule is The Elder Scrolls VI, and while there’s been no gameplay, or even an in-game screenshot yet fans are expecting big things from the developer.
According to CultureCrave on Twitter, the Game Of Thrones game will be an MMORPG, with a story mode that you can play online with friends and presumably random people.

It’ll also be set in the North, and will likely be an open world game especially if it’s supposed to support multiple players.
Honestly it sounds comparable to the Elder Scrolls Online, though until we see some gameplay we can’t know for sure what kind of game it’ll be.
Of course please take this news with a pinch of salt, as nothing has been officially announced yet and when a game is in such early development the chances of cancellation or a rework remain high.
Nevertheless it’d be exciting to see the Game Of Thrones world finally realised in a video game setting, even better one that you can play with your fellow fans.
