Skyrim feels like a whole new game in this brutal free mode

Skyrim feels like a whole new game in this brutal free mode

Pain will become your only friend

One could argue that Skyrim is already challenging enough without a mode thrown into the mix. But that arguement is obviously inaccurate.

It’s been roughly 13 years since Bethesda blessed us with Skyrim, and we’ve been chasing that high ever since; few games compare.

Our only gripe is that you soon discover all there is to know about its lore, which leaves you in dire need of a new way to play.

Fortunately, there’s ‘Survival Mode Improved’ to give you that refresh.

Check out these brilliant wins and fails from Skyrim!

Don’t let its bland title fool you – this new mode is the real deal, and unforgivingly brutal. Running into enemies is the least of your problems when you opt for this mod.

Yes, the elements, your own hunger, and lack of sleep will all fight against you to finish you off before a dragon can.

If you’re already sweating from anxiety, we suggest you take on the less dangerous mission of finding the super secret loot room most of us have never seen. It’s not easy to find, but you’ll likely live longer following this quest.

Those brave enough to weather all that The Elder Scrolls V can throw at them, have praised the mod for its brutality.

“Excellent Mod!! So much more responsive than the CC survival mode scripts; this is a massive improvement to the vanilla CC Survival,” shared one player.

Someone else said, “Thanks so much for this. It finally made survival mode worthwhile to enable.”

Should this still sound too timid for your liking, there’s an unhinged mod that will actually hurt you in real life whenever you take damage; for all you extreme gamers out there.

You could take the easy route here, but why bother? Go for the pain and suffering route instead – it makes it more fun, especially for those of us who can hear your tales of woe.
