One of the benefits of open-world RPGs is that it is damn near impossible to discover every secret the map has to offer. That is the case for one The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt player who has seemingly come across a hidden NPC after 400 hours of gameplay.
Despite being released in 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still one of the most successful action RPGs of all time. From the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red aren’t afraid to fill its games with all sorts of hidden features. This was seen recently with the discovery of a secret room in Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City.

It now seems as though The Witcher 3 is still hiding some secrets, including the discovery of one poor NPC who has seemingly been tied to a rock in the Skellige area. Reminiscent of Prometheus, the man can be found on the island of Skellige, almost naked and seemingly left to die in the typical fashion of the land. “I've spent 400 hours in this game and have never seen this”, read one comment on the r/Witcher3 post.

The mystery man is apparently part of the side quest titled ‘Crime and Punishment’ and we soon learn he was framed for a murder he didn’t commit. The man, called Yorg, begs Geralt to free him and if The Witcher does, the quest will end with him offering to help you out if you should ever meet again. If you wish to do a bit of detective work, you can then travel to the village of Rogne where you can find a group of mourners at the murdered man’s grave.
With many players seemingly never coming across Yorg, it is just further proof that eight years on, The Witcher 3 still has plenty of details and quests to be found. Not to mention the game’s ‘final secret’ which was found recently.
