Pokémon fans should check out the delightful Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers.

Pokémon fans, while we’re awaiting the release of next year’s Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you may want to check out the delightful Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers.

Developed by Dino Rocket and set to be published by Fireshine Games, Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers is set to land later this year.

Combining elements of creature collecting and deckbuilding with strategy-based card battler gameplay, there’s a lot within Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers that should appeal to fans of Pokémon.

“Welcome to the world of Kādomon, a mysterious land where cute and quirky monsters roam freely. Journey through randomly generated regions, battling and collecting Kādomon on your quest to be the best,” the synopsis teases.

The notion of wanting to be the very best is something us Pokémon fans know only too well.

There are over 180 Kādomon within the game to capture and utilise, and you can track these in your Kādodex - plus each ‘mon has two rare misprints.

Speaking of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, take a look at the game in action below.

All Kādomon have special abilities and are categorised into one of nine groups - and yes, there are evolutions too, with fully evolved Kādomon able to get “hyper”, a powerful fourth form.

Build your team and take on a number of elite enemies and bosses, whilst stopping at Shonkka’s Shop every now and then to boost your chances in battle.

The game doesn’t yet have a release date, although a community update published yesterday teased that this is coming “very soon”.

In the meantime though, you can download a ‘prologue’ sample of the game - and it’s a hefty one. The playable prologue allows players to discover over 60 of Kādomon’s 180+ roster, including misprints.

That’s plenty to keep you busy until release day - and already, the prologue has received Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam.

“Fun game with cool secrets that increase replayability by an already concerning degree. Will ruin my life. 10/10,” wrote one player, while another added, “I've managed to complete the first region in the prologue and I already need more. The auto battler system is intuitive and easy to pick up and synergise with. The Kādomon have fun little names and the art style for the game is cute and crisp.”
